Europe Trip
We are excited to be just a few days away from our trip to Europe. Nancy seems to be taking it all in stride but I am literally about to burst. We were originally booked on a Europe trip for last year but had to cancel so this has been a very anticipated trip. Our itinerary will take us to many places around the Mediterranean as well as Paris. If you'd like to know where we are at any given time, just look at the weather icon in the top right of our blog. It will show the weather for either our current or following day's location.... -
Welcome to our New Blog
Welcome to our new blog! I'd like to take a moment to familiarize you with some of the features and explain how and why we're setting things up this way. As some of you know we previously had a blog at our Growlies domain which I shut down about 2 years ago in favor of using Facebook. I also find that for lengthy write ups such as what we'll... -

My nephews did the majority of the gutting, and everything but the inside walls of the bathroom was torn out. In the process, we also decided to open up the stairwell so it didn't feel quite so much like going down into a dungeon, so the stairwell wall came out as well. Once that was done, the walls had to be pressure washed and the floors had to be etched ... -
The Journey Begins
Over the past few days I’ve been getting ready for yet another July with my dad. So yesturday him and his girlfriend drove out to Calgary to pick me up for a nice road trip out to Minnedosa, Manitoba for a good old McLeod family reunion. The road trip started out with a quick 3 hours to medicine hat in Alberta, followed by 10 hours driving from medicine hat to Minnedosa in Manitoba. At the end of my long car ride I get to see my cousins that I have not seen in many many years as well as aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents that I have not seen in a couple years. Throughout my evening I occasionally look out my window and see the big prairie sky as ...
